S2A Single Phase kWh Meter

Overview

The following project was undertaken to provide a Windows Based Software Tool to replace the original Tariff Generation Software provided by Siemens Metering/Landis+Gyr for programming and reading back S2A-100 Single Phase Energy Meters. The original software tool was DOS based and would not run under more modern operating systems such as Windows NT,2000 or XP.

S2AWin Features

• Versions available for Windows 98 and Windows NT4,2000,XP.
• Programs S2A and S2AS Meters (S2AT untested).
• Caters for both Live Switching and Neutral Switching 2 rate meters.
• Single shot register and status reads with logging to a csv file.
• Continuous register and status reads (no logging)
• Profile Read/Graph and save to CSV file Supports original tariff file format.
• User friendly GUI interface
• Support for Abacus Electrics USB Optical probes using virtual serial port

Limitations

• Does not currently support Programming of S2AM series. This could be developed based on sufficient demand. Does however support register reads of S2AM.
